The special event was very well attended. In a dark December’s night, the acclaimed and charismatic voice of tenor Jon Valender, brought warmth and life to the Old Tannery. Sam O’neal played beautifully the music of Strauss, Britten and Barber, delighting a captivated audience through his sensitive interpretation.
Fernando Velazquez exhibited twenty eight paintings and drawings, part of a new series based upon nature, imagination and our experience of today’s world. Velazquez spoke to the guests about a renaissance in painting and a new beauty emerging from our dark times of doubt and challenges. He believes that our times are a fertile ground for a new beauty. The event was a memorable experience and part of a series of events organised by the artist in his quest to bring culture to unpredictable places.
