Fernando has recently won the painting category at The Marshwood Arts Awards. First launched fifteen years ago, The Marshwood Arts Awards has become one of the most anticipated exhibitions in the South West. Artists and Makers are chosen from five categories. Painting & Drawing; Print Photography; Sculpture; Digital Media and Applied Arts (Applied Arts includes Furniture & Works in Wood, Ceramics and Glass, Fashion & Textiles, Jewellery, Metalwork and Decorative Arts).
The exhibition runs from 14 October – 4 November 2023, at the Allsop Gallery, Bridport.
Fernando says “I am extremely pleased to be part of this wonderful show, a real celebration of creativity and a healthy approach to promoting art. The quality of artworks selected is truly excellent and the calibre of selectors is a credit to organisers Victoria and Fergus Byrne. Winning the award in the category of painting and drawing is an honour for me”.
Three artists/makers (6 in Applied Arts) were chosen from each category to exhibit in a mixed exhibition at the Allsop Gallery in Bridport. The exhibition runs from 14 October – 4 November 2023.
