Fernando offered a lecture at UCL as part of the Fullerton California State University International Programme in London. The lecture aimed to emphasise the importance of Constable and Turner as true precursors of Impressionism. Fernando invited the audience to embark on a journey of artistic ideas and technique from Britain to France and back to the Uk through the contribution of American artists such as Whistler and Sickert.
